When our Facebook group began in 2011, we had no idea how much we’d grow. We couldn’t envision reaching 10,000 members, let alone the 250,000 member milestone that we reached this week! Our story started with a commitment to helping caregivers select, install, and use their car seats properly; it has expanded into a vision where one day every family achieving that goal is within reach.
Since those early days, we’ve not only increased our membership, we’ve also developed important relationships with car seat manufacturers. In most cases, those relationships give us a great way to provide feedback. Thanks to the issues you’ve shared in our group, we’ve been able to pass those struggles along. In many cases, we’ve been able to inspire small and large changes to car seats, soft goods, and manuals in response to what you’ve shared.
Our friends at bily, Britax, Chicco, Cybex, Dorel, Evenflo, and Graco are joining us in the celebration with a giveaway of a whopping 13 car seats and booster seats for our readers both in the United States and Canada!
This milestone is a very big deal to us and it wouldn’t have happened without you. Celebrate our growth from birth until now with giveaways of car seats that range from birth until booster age! Please visit each seat’s review to enter the giveaways — there’s a contest at the bottom of each one.
Thank you all again, and we look forward to the next 250,000 members!

Our Canadian friends have a great carpooling option in the bily backless booster seat and we’re thrilled that Elfe Juvenile products is helping us give one away as part of this celebration!
To help us celebrate this exciting milestone, our friends at Britax have generously donated an Advocate ClickTight convertible car seat with an Anti-Rebound Bar (ARB) in their Circa fabric. This well-featured car seat installs best using the vehicle seat belt — in fact, it’s pretty darn simple. Just open the ClickTight panel, thread the vehicle belt through the belt path, and close the panel.
Our first offering from Chicco is one Chicco KeyFit 30 rear facing only car seat in the Serene fabric. This user-friendly seat has long been a favorite amongst both CPSTs and parents alike.
Chicco is also graciously offering a NextFit iX Zip convertible car seat in the Midnight fashion. This well-featured seat offers a great many ease of use and comfort features.
Not only that! Chicco is giving away one KidFit booster seat in the Spectrum fashion. This booster seat offers a consistent belt fit and LATCH. In backless mode, it makes a great carpool option.
Our friends at Dorel, parent company to Cosco, Maxi-Cosi, and Safety 1st are joining the party with giveaways as well!!!
We’re giving away one Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 Max. This convertible car seat has two modes: rear facing and forward facing. It has many features in common with the original Pria 85, and has some nifty new ones as well. We were particularly interested in the infant positioning wedge and lower weight limit of 5 pounds and the innovative new ClipQuik chest clip. Keep in mind that this seat is large front to back when rear facing, so it wouldn’t be the best option for smaller vehicles or taller front passengers.
The ClipQuik is magnetic – it fastens itself, and is designed to be easy for caregivers to release, while being extremely difficult for littles who like to play Houdini to release themselves at the wrong time.
We’re also giving away one Safety 1st Grow and Go EX Air. This multimode car seat has three modes: rear facing, forward facing, and transitional booster modes. This seat fits well in all three modes, as well as an extended rear facing capacity guaranteed to accommodate nearly all children rear facing to a minimum of age 2, and the vast majority of kids to 4+.
AND! A Cosco Finale. This budget-friendly, lightweight, narrow combination car seat has a 16.75 inch top harness slot for forward facing harnessed use, then converts into a booster seat. It’s a great option for three across situations and families on a budget. The smooth cover makes it a nice option for some littles with sensory issues, too!
The Aton 2 has long been a favorite of ours for cars with very limited leg room in the back seat. Its Tardis-like design (it’s bigger on the inside!) takes up a shockingly humble amount of space. The wide variety of colors and the load leg add to the exciting features. We’re excited that our friends at Cybex have generously offered this seat into our car seat cornucopia.
Our friends at Evenflo have joined the party with not one, but TWO Evolve combination car seats — one for our members in the United States, and one for our members in Canada! This cozy, long-lasting, forward facing only car seat offers a nice amount of padding and fairly simple installation. It also offers a consistent vehicle seat belt fit once in booster mode.
Canadian readers, we’ve got something for you! A Graco Contender! This lightweight convertible car seat has a high 17.5 top harness slot, a no rethread harness, and it installs without trouble.
Our friends at Graco round out the party with a giveaway of an Extend2Fit convertible car seat for one lucky winner in EITHER the United States or Canada! We’re thrilled to offer this long-lasting, well-featured seat as part of this exciting celebration.
Thank you once again for joining us on this incredible journey. It’s taken all of us to places we’d never imagined possible. And that journey all started with you.
Thanks to you, many, many children are safer than ever before!
