Today, Britax announced a recall of select Advocate ClickTight, Marathon ClickTight, and Boulevard ClickTight seats. The recall is for seats manufactured between August 1, 2014 and July 29, 2015. This affects seats in the United States and Canada.
When the Britax ClickTight Convertible car seats — Marathon ClickTight, Boulevard ClickTight, and Advocate ClickTight — were introduced, they were completely different from most car seats on the market. While they may look like other traditional car seats, the installation method is what sets these seats apart.
In 2013, Britax shook things up with the introduction of ClickTight technology on the Frontier combination car seat. This technology has made installation simple, to say the least, and we hoped and waited for Britax to add ClickTight to their convertible car seat line.
