Since 2009, the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety), has been annually releasing their booster ratings, based primarily on fit of the 6 year old dummy, and, as we all know, fit is the best indication of performance. No matter how much bling your booster has, if it doesn’t place the seatbelt properly on your child, it can’t do its job.
Booster seats serve one primary purpose: to place the car’s seat belt over 3 strong points of a child’s body. A properly fitting booster will sit low over the hips and across the center of the shoulder to spread the possible force from a crash over these strong areas.
The Harmony Dreamtime, one of Harmony’s multiple belt positioning options, serves a niche market in that is one of the few high back boosters still available that may be an acceptable option in a three across, due to its narrow lines and plumb sides. While it doesn’t have the bells and whistles of many of the market’s more showy options, it is affordable, and provides an excellent belt fit in high back and backless mode, and as such, does what it is needed to do.
Harmony Juvenile makes a variety of children’s products, from strollers to play areas. They also have a variety of child seats, specifically, boosters. Harmony offers a variety of booster options, their backless boosters sport low prices and features that big kids will love. Remember, most kids need a booster until age 10-12; read more about why big kids need boosters, too.

The Harmony Defender 360 is a fairly new addition to the world of combination seats (aka car seats that convert from a forward facing five point harness into a belt positioning booster), and I had the opportunity to take one for a spin this week.
