The Issue

Certain child seats may not meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations when installed in a rear-facing position using the universal anchorage system (UAS).
Safety Risk:
A child seat that doesn’t meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Diono advises that you may continue to use the seat in a rear-facing position if you install it using the vehicle seat belt. Diono will notify registered owners in writing.
You should contact Diono to obtain a free remedy kit that includes a foam insert and instructions for how to install it.
