The second part of our journey through the ABC Kids Expo 2017 started once again with a visit to the coffee cart/food court (more about the first part here). Since we were here last year, that area of the Convention Center has undergone a significant remodel, and it’s much nicer now! I know you were all wondering, so there you go.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time of year again! No, not just the time of fabulous fall weather and impending holidays, it’s time to enter a giant expo hall full of car seats and assorted baby gear to check out the 2017 ABC Kids Expo!
The addition of the JPMA show to the lineup of expos this year translates to fewer car seat manufacturers attending ABC Kids, so we’re cramming most of our schedule into one really full day but spreading it into two great articles for your reading pleasure.
Car seat training happens all over the world. SafeKids is taking their show on the road and doing CSPT training all around the globe. But that’s not all — the United Kingdom’s Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) also offers a car seat safety course. This one day training course is held by British experts Child Seat Safety Limited.
After another long day and a fun night at Disneyland after the show closed, we felt that day three at the JPMA show might have dawned a little too early! But we found our way to the exhibit hall to finish the last day of the show before tomorrow’s public version of the show begins.
After a long first day of the show, day two of the JPMA show arrived a little early. Adding insult to injury was the fact that the satellite coffee bar at the expo hall remained closed for a second day in a row. But we managed to fortify ourselves and head in for a full day of manufacturer visits.
Once again, our intrepid CSFTL Media team has descended on another fabulous baby gear trade show! This time, our travels take us to Anaheim, CA for the 1st annual JPMA Baby show. Our first day involved scheduled visits to these fabulous manufacturers: Peg Perego, Evenflo, Cybex, GoodBaby, and Kiddy. We also had a surprise visit with our friends from Safe Kids. Here’s a roundup of what we saw.
A common theme of our visits to the ABC Kids Expo is meals at odd times of the day. This year marks no exception to that. Today, we started with salad at 10 a.m., then moved on to lunch at 3. In between times, we fortified ourselves on little candies that benevolent manufacturers leave on their booths.
Once again, the CSFTL ABC Kids Expo contingent has descended upon the otherwise calm town of Las Vegas. Watch out, nickel slots, we’re coming for you! In addition to our high stakes gambling adventures, we’re headed back into the Convention Center for this year’s Expo. Here are a few highlights of our first day on the show floor.
Ever since I became a Child Passenger Safety Technician in 2011, I have wanted to attend the Kidz in Motion conference. It’s a 3 day long conference which is solely focused on different aspects of child passenger safety. At long last, I am here! As though it weren’t exciting enough on its own to be here, this year is extra special because two of my incredibly hard-working associates were given the honor of presenting at the pre-conference!
Our final full day at the ABC Kids Expo dawned bright and early but we missed that part of the day thanks to our evening as high rollers at the casino.
We should stick to car seats.
