The Evenflo Maestro has long been a popular forward facing only combination car seat. It’s gained quite a following as a lightweight, easy to install car sat for travel. Chicco has issued a recall for the Keyfit 30 infant car seat.
In 2013 European car seat laws were overhauled to ensure safer, easier to use products for caregivers. The Ally 35 seems promising in many ways. The low strap height will fit infants well, and the European routing method of baseless installation and relatively light carrier weight make it a good choice for travel. However, we are very discouraged that it’s already in stores with no instructions on how to adjust the crotch buckle, and the upright angle makes us less likely to recommend it for preemies and low birthweight babies, who would fit well in it otherwise. We’d love to take a further look at the Ally 35 once the instructions in the manual are clarified.
The Britax Two Way Elite is a versatile, well loved car seat in Europe. It’s best known for its extended rear facing capacities for tall children and for its ability to fit in small vehicles.

The Maxi-Cosi Pria 65 has a lot of comfort features and would be a good choice for small, average, and even some tall children (depending on how they carry their height), and will work nicely in a wide variety of vehicles.
The Britax Highpoint is a very nice booster seat that’s easy to use. We’re particularly fond of the plush cover, the lower anchors, and the consistent vehicle seat belt fit that it offered to our young passengers.

The KidsEmbrace 2-in-1 Booster Seat has a lot to offer in backless mode. It’s lightweight, offers a consistent belt fit, and is stunningly wide where it counts — in the seating area.
The 18 inch top shoulder belt guide and fairly narrow back area mean that it’s very short-lived in high back mode.
