Voluntary Recall: Evenflo All4One

The Issue
Evenflo has issued a voluntary recall for All4One car seats (model numbers listed below). A voluntary recall is one where the manufacturer identified an issue and has provided a solution, rather than being told to do so by a government agency.

Testing found potential for the adjustable recline mechanism to shift from one position to another in rear facing mode.

Evenflo All4One

Details
If the recline position changes during a crash, a backseat rider sitting next to the rear facing car seat is at risk of injury if their fingers are inside the recline mechanism.

Remedy

The seat remains safe to use as long as riders sitting next to the seat do not place their hands near the recline mechanism while in rear facing mode. Instructions are available on the Evenflo website that allow a towel to be placed inside the recline mechanism to fill in the open space.

Evenflo will provide a replacement for affected seats at no cost. This seat is out of production since June of 2023, so replacements will be a different design. Owners may contact Evenflo customer service at 1-800-233-5921 (US) 1-800-265-0749 (Canada) or [email protected]
