Evenflo has made the decision to recall the buckles on certain models of car seats. Similar to the recall of certain types of buckles on Graco convertible and combination seats, the crotch buckle on these seats can become difficult to release. This recall does NOT effect the safety of these seats in a crash.
On July 4, 2014, Graco Children’s Products issued on an update to the existing buckle recall, expanding the recall to include certain models of rear facing only seats.
In 2014, Graco announced a buckle recall that applied to certain styles of rear facing only infant seats, convertible car seats, and some combination car seats. Caregivers who own any seats with the affected buckle can receive a free replacement directly from Graco.

On September 12, 2013, Dorel annouced a recall of certain Safety 1st and Eddie Bauer car seats. The affected seats are mislabeled with the stickers notating the rear and forward facing belt paths reversed. This recall does not affect their crash performance, however the seats must be installed using the correct belt path.
