The Evenflo SureRide/Titan 65 has made a name for itself in the car seat world, and rightfully so. This seat offers some of the tallest harness slots of any convertible seat as well as a good fit for many newborns, making it is one of the only convertibles that will expire before kids outgrow it.
Evenflo offers a wide range of car seats and booster seats. In the middle of their lineup of convertible and multimode car seats is the well-featured Symphony. The second part of our journey through the ABC Kids Expo 2017 started once again with a visit to the coffee cart/food court (more about the first part here). Diono has issued a recall for some Radian, Olympia, Pacifica, and Rainier car seats made between 2013 and 2017. When installed with the lap belt only these seats may not perform properly in a crash.
The Monterey XT is a great booster for any booster-ready child, especially those with larger builds. It is easy to install and use. The lower anchor connectors, cup holders, and adjustable width are all very nice features that make this seat uniquely customizable. While it is bulky and won’t work well in a three-across situation, the Diono Monterey XT is definitely a great seat for bigger littles.
All forward facing harnessed car seats have a top tether. The top tether is an essential piece of safety equipment and an essential part of protecting children who ride forward facing in their harnessed car seats.
Since the model year 1999, all new cars in the United States and Canada include at least three tether anchors to connect those top tethers. These anchors will be identified in your vehicle’s manual and often with a tether anchor symbol near the tether itself.
