The Cosco Scenera has long been a staple of the child passenger safety toolkit, especially for caregivers who travel or are on a budget, or coalitions who need to make their seat dollars count. With an under 40 dollar price point, the Scenera has long stood as an example of how seats are available to keep kids safe in any budget.
Since the first Diono Radians were introduced, Diono has developed a legacy of narrow convertible car seats that work well for some specific situations. Their newest entries into the market, the Olympia, Pacifica, and Ranier, continue that trend while offering additional features that build on the well known Radian.
The Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 is an update to the well-loved Pria 70 convertible car seat. The Pria 85 takes many cues from its European counterpart, incorporating plush fabrics and little details like the no re-thread harness, easy to remove cover , and harness holders to make buckling the child easier.
It’s finally here! The day we’ve all been waiting for. Clek Foonf’s little sister has arrived, Fllo! The Clek Fllo is just as stylish and modern looking at the Foonf and this Tank color is pretty awesome. The weight was definitely a welcome surprise! When Graco announced the 4Ever 4-in-1 car seat, we were thrilled to have the chance to take a close look at it. It turns out to be a seat that works well in all 4 modes and we’re happy to list it on our Recommended Seats page. When the 4Ever’s new cousin, the Milestone, arrived on the scene, we were just as excited about taking a look under the hood!

When Graco announced their first 4-in-1 car seat, I was parts suspicious and parts intrigued. In general, multi-mode child restraints tend to fall short in at least one mode. It’s no small task to make a restraint suitable for a 4 lb newborn all the way up through an 80 lb 10-year-old.
The Safety 1st Advance SE 65 Air + convertible car seat is a recent addition to the Safety 1st roster of child restraints. We were excited to take it and its multiple recline positions, a no re-thread harness and generous weight and height allowances out for a spin!
The Evenflo Triumph is not a newcomer to the convertible car seat world; it’s gone through several upgrades over the years and is loved by many for its ease of use features.
Transport Canada’s compliance testing program revealed that without this foam insert, the loads felt by the 12-month old crash test dummy slightly exceeded the allowable limit. Transport Canada and Diono are concerned that in the event of a collision, a Radian restraint system not equipped with the memory foam insert may transmit excessive loads to the child occupant which could cause injury.
