Baby Trend has announced a recall for some of their Hybrid LX 3-in-1 Centennial booster seats, model number FB58181, manufactured on July 23, 2016 and Hybrid LX 3-in-1 Kiwi booster seats, model number FB48417, manufactured on July 14, 2016.
Recalls happen all the time. Recalls can happen for as many different reasons as there are variety of items that are recalled. When it comes to car seats, recalls can be anything from a typo on a required line on a sticker to an issue that makes a car seat completely unsafe or unusable.
Transport Canada and RECARO Child Safety, LLC are informing the public of a non-compliance of Performance RIDE convertible car seats made between October 2015 and February 2016. Specifically, these convertible car seats do not meet the dynamic requirements for head acceleration of the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations.
On July 27, 2016, Transport Canada announced a recall on Little Tikes branded booster made by Diono.
Kiddy has announced a recall for some of their Kiddy World Plus combination seats. On the affected seats, the buckle on the shield may not fully engage, meaning that a parent or caregiver might think the child was properly buckled into the seat when she was not. The issue only affects the seat when used with the shield. Seats used in booster mode only are not impacted by this recall.
Graco has issued a recall for the Turbobooster manufactured from December 22, 2015 to April 5, 2016. This is not a life-safety recall. You may continue to use your seat. The manual omitted the required directive to secure the seat when unoccupied to prevent it becoming a projectile.
Evenflo is recalling more than 56,000 Transitions units due to a concern over children loosening their own harnesses. Caregivers with affected units can contact Evenflo for a free fix kit.
On January 4, 2016, Transport Canada announced the following recall on the Kids Embrace Friendship Series Cinderella Combination Booster Seat.
RECARO Child Safety and Transport Canada wish to inform the public of a non-compliance involving certain Performance RIDE restraint systems. The date of manufacture on the side of the child restraint was misprinted and may be inconsistent with normal date formats.
Transport Canada wishes to inform the public of a non-compliance with the Sparco No-Back Booster seat. The fabric cover of the affected booster seats does not conform to the flammability requirements indicated in the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations.
